Massage Therapy for Motor Vehicle Accident Injuries
In Oregon, all Auto Insurance Policies, (even Liability) cover you in case of Auto Accident Injury. This coverage is called Personal Injury Protection, (PIP). PIP covers up to $15,000 of reasonable and necessary medical expenses in case you are injured in an accident. Medical Massage may be a reasonable and necessary part of your auto accident injury recovery, especially if you have sustained any soft tissue injury.
We would just need the information listed below prior to your appointment in order to bill your auto insurance:
*A prescription from your physician, naturopathic physician or chiropractor for massage treatments.
*The prescription must include the ICD 10 diagnosis code (or codes) that we will need for billing.
*The name of your auto insurance company.
*An accident claim number from your auto insurance company.
*The claims representative’s name, telephone number and email address. (The claims representative is the person from your auto insurance company who is handling your claim.)
*Your Insurance Policy and or Group Number.
*Date of injury.
*State in which the accident occurred.
